Hey, I'm pretty new to second life and i need some help. When i log onto second life, everything is fine. But after 5 minutes or so, if not longer, my computer locks up, which it freezes, and i have to restart the computer. I have other high graphical games that i play such as The sims 2, Ea Madden 2007, BeacHead, etc and they dont ever crash and they run perfectly. I even played another online virtual world game and it never crashed. I really like Second Life and want to keep playing it with out the annoying crashes. I lost all hope and dont know what else to do, so if someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated
My Specs: Sony Vaio Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz 1.12 GB of RAM NIVIDIA GeForce 6600 Memory Size: 256 MB Internet Connection Speed: 400.0Mbps |

I hope you have found some help somewhere else by now.
What kind of internet service do you have? Is your computer on a network? If so, could you try connecting the computer directly, bypassing network? If you are networked, is it wired or wireless? Which viewer are you using - regular or First Look? First Look is the experimental version . Whichever one you are using, try the other. Your computer sounds like a desktop to me, is that right? Have you written to support@secondlife.com? Do you have the latest drivers for you video card, motherboard, chipsets, etc? You would probably want to post your question in forums.sluniverse.com, forums.secondcitizen.com, sl-forums.com, and the sl forum at stratics.com, as well as forums.secondlife.com, if you can access the forums at secondlife.com.
