Looks like the Instructor subsidy is ending...no more L$500 per class. Too bad
![]() http://forums.secondlife.com/showthread.php?t=148150 LL says that there are business opportunities in education so this might kickstart some development in that area.

So people start charging for teaching classes.
Newbies who need classes to learn how to do many things in Second Life will buy more money on Lindex to pay for those classes. Teachers have more money to sell on Lindex. Lindex gets to charge more fees to send them their money. To hell with the fact that it will likely mean less available classes and even more newbies running around without basic knowledge. Nice.

I'm glad this is ended. It was as foolish as the events grants that used to reward all the schoolgirl outfit contests.
The quality is uneven, and people should just charge for instruction of quality. People will pay for it. Their bleating and protesting that they are helping humanity and couldn't possibly charge for a service is belied by their willingness to have their hand out for the Linden dole. |
