I was accepted as a mentor yesterday It's pretty cool that we can see Help Island on the map -- I was going to go there today but it looks like SL is down

Now I'm an Instructor and Mentor....unfortunately, I don't have enough time for Live Help.

It is interesting so far. Most new people are very confused about SL -- in terms of what to do and what skills they need to get by.

Help Island is great and a number of people are there learning about building, customizing themselves, etc. I met some people that have been on Help Island for a couple of weeks -- getting ready to enter SL.

Some new people are very spohisticated - they have themselves completely customized and actually know how to make stuff -- all through practice on help island over a couple of weeks and through talking to mentors and others. Nice to see that

Next step -- come up with a tour for people that are interested in leaving Help Island.

Also, it's cool to see all the new people rezzing and going through the orientation statations -- brings back memories

I still remember my first day it was quite funny, But there were no helpers around so I had to figure it all by myself, Quite the learning experience lol
