People who confuse avatar with agent and/or user and/or client--or any permutation thereof.

There may be other signs of clever stupidity as well.

Stupid people often think they're l33t while clever people are... but often don't state such.

Stupid people also tend to cling to the word, as a way of hiding their own stupidity.
