Parent

Linked objects have a very limited hierarchy. There is one parent (also called the root prim) and 1 or more children. The parent prim is the default prim selected when a linked set is selected with the built-in tools and is highlighted in yellow. When selecting multiple prims to create a linked set, the last prim selected will be the parent.

The number of prims (for link functions) is determined according to the following:

• If it is a single prim, not linked, then it is number 0.
• If it is the last prim selected before choosing to link, then it is link number 1 (parent).
• If it is the second to last prim selected before choosing to link, then it is link number 2 (a child).
• If if is the first prim selected to be part of the link, then it will have the highest link number, equal to the number of prims in the linked set.
