MPEG4

MPEG4 is the newest release of the video codec, MPEG. It is much more efficient than most other video encoding algorithms, and enables most DVDs to be packed onto a single CD. The older, less efficient MPEG2 technology is what DVD players use. SecondLife supports MPEG4 via Quicktime.
