Default Taxes for transactions in Second Life?

In a reseach project the European Comission asks experts to judge several claims about developments of the creative content sector over the next 30 years.

One claim even directly relates to SL:

A value added tax (VAT) for transactions within virtual worlds (like Second Life) is raised.

While these claims are judged by a selected number of (so-called) experts in a closed survey, you - the SL user - have the opportunity to parallely reveal your opinion in a playful manner at www.techforx.org. TechForX is a play-money prediction market where you reveal your opinion by trading virtual stocks which represent the probability that the partiular claim comes true. If you think the current probability is too low, you buy stocks - otherwise you sell stocks. You can even match your expertise with others in the user ranking!

The results of TechForX will be incorporated in the results of the research project and therefore presented to the European Commission. Take your chance and participate in political decision-making!
